PlayNaughty.com has seen some great results in the UK and expanded their adult dating site to the US. I created a US dating profile on PlayNaughty to check it out. There aren’t as many members in the US but the site definitley has potential. Here is part of their welcome email……

Play Naughty’s traffic statistics (number of visitors) are not too great overall. When you break it down by country the site looks much more attractive depending upon where you live. Here is the breakdown:

• United Kingdom: 4,029
• United States: 125,726

Hopefully their new US push will grow their presence here and they can start to compete.

I check alexa ratings for a ton of sites. A ton!! Usually the site I’m checking out is a dating site of course. Sometimes a social networking, but usually something geared towards dating. I keep noticing that quite a few of these sites have a super high rating in Egypt when compared to other countries. I always want to see where the US ranks. So I just finally wanted to see how many dating sites come up in their top 100 based on traffic. And here are some of the results.

I know a lot of those don’t fit the usualy description of sites we talk about here, but I thought it was interesting to see all the porn, dating, social networking, and otherwise, time wasting sites are in Egypt’s top 100. Also keep in mind about 1/3 of all the sites on there were in Indian, so Iwas unable to really read what they were about. So its a safe bet to say that there are probably at least 5 more on that list that are similar to the ones I listed above. What does this say? This lets Webmasters and dating sites /social websites know that the Egyptian market may not be a bad one to get after. They apparently are interested in interactive websites where they can chat, meet singles, and watch quite a bit of porn.

So last night I was watching the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on TV. As I’ve noticed, the majority of their models are from Brazil. And they are definitely attractive. I would actually say that they are the most attractive models I have ever seen. So then I thought, what could I post about the show last night that would be relevant to online dating? Well, I happen to know of a huge dating/social website in Brazil that gets very little attention in the US. That site is Orkut. They are an absolute monster in Brazil, and pretty much none existent in the US. They are directly associated with Google which gives them quite a bit of credibility. So if you are like just about any guy in the world, and wouldn’t mind meeting Brazilian women, I would take a quick look at Orkut. Now this site definitely is not an adult dating site like many of the others that are discussed here. This is much more like Myspace, if not cleaner. I am not sure if you need to be able to speak Spanish or not. I would assume that you do not. You never know, you might find quite a few Brazilians in the US using their website.

So it seems that not all dating sites that are popular in the US are as popular in the UK and vice versa. As posted earlier the top sites by traffic rank in the US are……

As with different cultures, you would expect different sites to appeal to other parts of the globe. That is not true for the most part. The majority of the most popular sites in the US and similar overseas. Popular sites in the UK include………
