Chemistry has been showing up more and more lately. Maybe you have noticed their recent marketing push which is aimed at eHarmony. Their new commercials point out that many online daters are “Rejected” by eHarmony.

One thing that the new Chemistry ads do not say is that it is owned by Match.com. This is not surprising when you look at both and the features. Both are what you consider “matchmaking” dating sites. I initially wanted to make a profile on Match, Chemistry, and eHarmony to compare all three. The only problem with that is that they are all pay sites of about $40/month. Pretty much all of them have some sort of promotion running, but that is the basic cost to join.

As far as website traffic in the United States is concerned, Match is the most popular, followed by eHarmony, and Chemistry is last. The US rankings on Alexa are as follows for the United States.

It’s no secret that online dating has become an incredibly popular method for dating. You see advertisements all over the place. Years ago, you pretty much only saw ads for online dating on the internet. Not anymore. Today they are on tv, radio, magazines, newspapers, billboards, and of course the internet. It’s almost impossible to go a day or two without being exposed to some sort of advertisment for a dating website. This poses an important question. What site should I join? That answer to that question will be different for just about everyone. There are so many, that are so different, you really have to figure out what you are looking for. And we are going to go through the differences in these sites to help narrow it down to a few choices.
