Zoosk.com might not be brand new, but it still is a relatively new online dating website.  I recently made a profile to check it out.  Here is what I found…..

The initial signup page includes entering your email address and password.  You are then emailed your activation link.  Once you click the link, you have to type in a verification code.  At first I thought this was annoying but after I thought about it, this is a good thing.  This makes it a little more difficult for spammers/bots to post fake ads on Zoosk and manipulate the website and it’s members.

After getting past the initial activation, you fill out the basic online dating profile questions.  One particular section I thought was good on Zoosk was the “Ice Breaker” question part.  You select several “Ice Breaker” questions for you dating profile.  These are on your page, and visitors can answer them for you to see their response.  I thought this was different and kind of cool.

As far as members go, I found a lot in my area.  Being in a highly populated city, this is expected.  I checked out some of the smaller towns around me and there seemed to be quite a few members there as well.  Zoosk does have a large international presence so even with 50 million online dating members, you might not find your city to have as many singles as you’d like.

Zoosk.com boasts of having over 50 million members, so of course, you have to pay to fully use the online dating service.  There are several options listed below:

1. $74.95 for 6 Months ($12.49/month)
2. $59.95 for 3 Months ($19.98/month)
3. $29.95 for 1 Month ($29.95/month)

Their prices really aren’t too cheap, especially since they aren’t as big as Match.com or Eharmony.com.  Let’s see where they stand in regards to traffic based on Alexa ratings.

Unites States makes up for 39.9% of Zoosk.com’s traffic.
