I noticed a website called Canoodle.com that I’ve never seen before.  I checked it out and it looked decent.  You basically make a profile and start browsing singles in your area just like you would on any other online dating website.  Here’s what I found.

Canoodle.com is basically a front page for several other online dating sites.  After I made my profile, I ran search for singles in my area.  There were about 3 pages which isn’t too bad for the exact city match, and not nearby cities.  Now once you click another members dating profile, you’re taken to the website they really are on.  For example, you’re on Canoodle, and click on Ashley009.  You are then redirected to Ashley009′s profile on Flirt.com, or Cupid.com, or BeNaughty.com.  I’m not sure how many other online dating websites are linked to Canoodle, but there definitely are quite a few.

Now this could be good, could be bad.  Depends on the member.  I personally would not want to have to keep changing dating sites to view other singles I was trying to connect with.  That’s just my personal preference.

As usual I ran some traffic number numbers on Alexa and here’s what I was able to find.

The United States makes up for 13.7% of Canoodle’s Traffic.

Zoosk.com might not be brand new, but it still is a relatively new online dating website.  I recently made a profile to check it out.  Here is what I found…..

The initial signup page includes entering your email address and password.  You are then emailed your activation link.  Once you click the link, you have to type in a verification code.  At first I thought this was annoying but after I thought about it, this is a good thing.  This makes it a little more difficult for spammers/bots to post fake ads on Zoosk and manipulate the website and it’s members.

After getting past the initial activation, you fill out the basic online dating profile questions.  One particular section I thought was good on Zoosk was the “Ice Breaker” question part.  You select several “Ice Breaker” questions for you dating profile.  These are on your page, and visitors can answer them for you to see their response.  I thought this was different and kind of cool.

As far as members go, I found a lot in my area.  Being in a highly populated city, this is expected.  I checked out some of the smaller towns around me and there seemed to be quite a few members there as well.  Zoosk does have a large international presence so even with 50 million online dating members, you might not find your city to have as many singles as you’d like.

Zoosk.com boasts of having over 50 million members, so of course, you have to pay to fully use the online dating service.  There are several options listed below:

1. $74.95 for 6 Months ($12.49/month)
2. $59.95 for 3 Months ($19.98/month)
3. $29.95 for 1 Month ($29.95/month)

Their prices really aren’t too cheap, especially since they aren’t as big as Match.com or Eharmony.com.  Let’s see where they stand in regards to traffic based on Alexa ratings.

It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed a dating site since I haven’t seen very many big, new sites. A new addition to the online dating world has recently come about, and that’s Spark.com. Spark is the combination of Americansingles.com and Date.ca. Spark’s web traffic looks like it just started taking off on December 14th. As usual I went ahead and created a profile and played around a bit. Here is what I found.

Spark.com is definitely based on a matchmaking process. While creating your profile you’re asked to take a personality survey which is beginning to be a requirement for the majority of online dating websites. Spark has a different line of questioning than anything I’ve seen. They ask you to answer the questions as you were when you were a child. For instance, “How did you deal with embarrassing situations?” I’m sure there’s some sort of psychological process behind this method. Anyway, at the end of the survey you get a “Personality Color” which is what will be used to find your matches. Mine was Yellow.

After my profile was made I started looking around at my matches. I had 15 to start. I looked at several and their profiles were relatively short and basic. The site seems easy to navigate and communicate with matches through chat room, email, flirting, and e-cards. However, to really be able to communicate, you’ll need to sign-up for a paid membership. You have several payment options including month-to-month and longer term options. Seeing as this site is relatively new, I’d be reluctant to pre-may for several months without testing is out first. Below are the current payment options.

Something else I’d point out is that there are only roughly 1,200 people online on a Sunday.  I’d expect this to pretty much be peak dating time and that’s a very low number.  With that  being said, lets go ahead and look at Spark.com’s traffic rankings from Alexa.

EstablishedMen.com is another online dating website which connects Wealthy Men with “Perfect Princesses”.  Established Men has been discussed in Playboy, Nightline, and Time Magazine.  I rarely review Sugar Daddy websites, but thought it wouldn’t be fair to exclude this pretty popular online dating segment.

I created a profile on EstablishedMen very easily.  The signup process is incredibly simple which is one thing I actually like about this site.  You can make a profile in less than 5 minutes without leaving out any important information.  I did find it comical that when selecting my income, $50,000-$75,000 was an option.  I wouldn’t call that wealthy, but maybe I’m wrong.

After my profile was made I starting browsing around and did find a feature worth mentioning.  You can leave members voice mail messages, and check them online.  I probably wouldn’t use that too much, but I’m sure some members will find it fun and helpful.  EstablishedMen also has the typical messaging and flirting system.

As an “Established Man” I could not message “Perfect Princesses” without being asked to upgrade my account.  You can view profiles, but you’re going to have to pay if you want to contact anyone.  You have two options which are below.

I thought these pricing options were pretty aggressive considering that they’re asking more than the top matchmaking sites like Match and Eharmony.  I wouldn’t be surprised if Established Men reduces their membership prices, or add some cheaper alternatives in the near future.

Lets take a look at the traffic statistics provided by Alexa.  To justify these prices, they’ll need some seriously low numbers.  Remember the lower the Alexa score, the better.  The most popular website on the internet has a score of 1.  To see other popular sites, take a look at the Top 25 Dating Sites.

I’ve been looking for a new adult dating website to write about and haven’t seen much action.  I did find one site that’s advertising quite a bit on Google through Adwords.  LetsBang.com is buying a lot of advertising space on Google right now for a number of adult dating related search terms.  I did a little research and LetsBang is an adult dating site owned by MONIKER ONLINE SERVICES, INC. who just so happens to own the very popular Fling.com.  The domain dates back to Oct. of 2004 and up until now hasn’t had much action.

LetsBang.com is in the early stages but does have some promise as long as the owners plan on making it it’s own adult dating site as opposed to just another face of Fling.  I decided to create a free male profile to see what Lets Bang is all about.  The signup process is quick and painless.  You don’t have to create a very in-depth profile to be able to troll around the site and see if you what you think, which I like.

What I don’t like about LetsBang.com is that in order to even view a female profile, you have to be a paying member.  Sorry guys, but you won’t get too far on this site without getting out your credit card.  LetsBang has several payment options listed below.

After browsing around some more, I found that Lets Bang looks, feels, and operates just like Fling.com.  Your profile features are basically identical.  When filling out your profile further, you’ll find you can edit/update your details very quickly.  This has to be one of the easiest sites to create a profile I’ve ever seen!  Now only if they could beef up their membership base.

At a glance LetsBang.com doesn’t appear to have many members.  But after browsing I have reason to believe you’re seeing many of the same members you’ll find on Fling.  Now I expect LetsBang to slowly break free of their predecessor Fling, and make a name for themself.  But for the time being, current members will need them to remain tied to Fling so they have some profiles to look at.

Let’s take a look at LetsBang.com’s current traffic.  We should keep in mind that they’re in the early stages, so I’ll be posting updated traffic results very soon.

Getiton.com’s traffic has been increasing considerable since the last time I took a look, so I wanted to post some new numbers to show how much it’s grown. Getiton has gone from a small adult dating sites to one of the most popular adult dating sites on the internet today!  So let’s take a look at some numbers…

Getiton.com Find Your Sexually Compatible Match. Getiton is the dating site from Friend Finder Network. It most closely resemble AdultFriendFinder, however, it is pretty different.

I noticed this site over the weekend and decided to create a test profile and see what GetItOn is all about. The first page you’re required to fill out is all about your sexual preferences, what activities you’re into, willing to try, and off limits. After you fill out that questionnaire, you’re taken to a more normal page asking about your basic, physical, and geographical information.

Once your profile is made you’ll have small pop-ups in the bottom right of your screen appear with the option to chat with them. If you’re a male, you’ll have to pay before you can even view a female’s profile.

Getiton.com does have a matching system which is a little less common among adult dating websites. On your homepage you’ll have matches displaying a percentage on how compatible you are.

Getiton isn’t bogged down with tons of features and pages that you’ll never use. It really does stick to the basics. You have your homepage, profile, search, video, and live webcams. That’s all. You can email, flint, im, or add another member to your hotlist.

Getiton is a very fast website. The pages are visually pleasing, and as a whole it operates very will. Being so new, its a good idea to see what kind of traffic Get it on is receiving.

Based on Alexa’s data, the website has been in existence since May, 03 ’96. But, I’d say the Friend Finder Network got started on it around June, 01 ’09, which is when you’ll see the traffic spike by a great deal, and then again on July 1st.

DatingDNA.com has one of the most popular dating applications at the app store.  Their dating site is relatively low in traffic, but very smooth and functional which is why I think this site/app is one to watch.  The site and iPhone or iPod Touch app is completely free, or you can pay for the “PLUS” app for $4.99.

The unique aspect of Dating DNA is every users receives a number (DNA number) which indicates dating preferences which is in turn used to match users.  I think they’ve found a way to create a matching system that doesn’t feel so tired and played out.  The app allows you to search, contact, and view other members based on their DNA, or just simply search by location.  You WILL need to register on their website first to be able to use this app.  The registration doesn’t take long, but is necessary.

I haven’t had much time to play with this app yet.  My only concern with Dating DNA and their app is the low traffic they’re seeing.  I cannot imagine that they can compete with some of the larger sites right now.  I do believe as time progresses they’ll start picking up in traffic and membership simply because they have a better site and app than most.  I’ll be reviewing Dating DNA soon to see how they stack up and if we should expect to see them around in the future.

Speeddate.com currently has the most popular dating application for the iPhone or iPod Touch! Speeddate.com announced this application was coming out prior to Valentine’s Day of this year, which has since gain in popularity. The site is geared towards speed dating and what a way to enhance its reputation by creating a user friendly and fun iPhone app.

The Speed Date App allows non-members to become members very quickly. Simply create a profile and even upload a picture directly from your iPhone or iPod Touch. After you’ve become a member, you’ll be able to flip through profiles around your current location. If and when you find a match you’d like to chat with, you can send them a flirt or a wink.

Now you can’t use all the features of the site with the application, which isn’t really expected seeing as you’re on an iPhone/iPod Touch, but the functionality is very good when compared to other dating site apps.  There is one setback to the Speed Date App, and that’s if you really want to be able to communicate with members, you’ll have sign-up for full membership, which is a pricey $59.99/month.  I’ve reviewed quite a few online dating sites, and that’s very high.  Especially for their relatively low traffic score, but that’ll be covered very soon on a full review of the Speeddate.com.

So in conclusion, the Speed Date app is great when compared to the other top online dating iPhone/iPod Touch apps, but in order to really utilize the site, you’ll have to shell out some money.

The Hot or Not iPhone App was released earlier this year and has quickly become a top dating/rating app in the app store. The application is free for all iPhone or iPod Touch users. You simply download the app, and you can begin rating users, messaging them, or even upload a picture from your phone to be rated my other members.

Hot or Not is probably the most popular picture rating website out there and it’s no surprise they have a great app available for their mobile members. A great feature of their app is you can sync with your existing account at Hot or Not.

Hot or Not has certainly taken a simple concept and made it better with their proprietary application available at the Apple App Store today.
